Add this to the "I can't believe I've never rated this" category. Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. Very dark pour. Dark, ruby tinted black pour. Tan fizz head. I love this Winter Ale style. Dark and dense warming brew. My favorite time of year to enjoy a beer. Rich caramel malt aroma and up front flavor. Barely has a berry like character to compliment. A bit of a sharp front, but lingers really creamy. Very malty finish. That time of year to get used to these brews. Love it. Wish I had notes on all the other times I had this beer. I feel like it has changed. Really enjoyed this.

12 ounce can from Brennan’s Brookfield. Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of spice, caramel, plum. The taste is pine, toffee, spice. Medium bodied, lingering spice. Meh.

Very deep brown with a tan and tall head. Deeply toasted malt, chocolate, pine and resin hops, rustic hop bite. Dry. Full bodied. Bought on a lark because I like tobogganing and very impressed.

12oz can. Deep brown-black body. Big, attractive, beige head. A pretty solid Winter Warmer, Chocolate malt, other thick malt tones, but completely balanced by the resinous NW hops. Some amber malt undertones. Lots of depth. Exceeded my expectations.
