Dick’s Double Diamond Winter Ale combines Northwest premium 2-row malted barley and ample rich Munich malt. We add a full bag of sweet caramel malt and lots of malted white wheat, with a touch of highly roasted black barley to give complexity to this ale.
To give this beer it’s backbone we add plenty of Northwest hops in the brew kettle.
If you like your ales with a balanced bitterness and a nice finish try this beer to keep you toasty warm on a cold night.

Draught from the blind tiger. Poured a reddish brown with mild head. SOme hops and some sourness. Ok not great.

Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a deep burnt red color with a nice finger’s worth of white foamy head that crept slowly into the beer leaving some subtle concave lace just a rim of it.
The aroma had some caramel malt, lightly roasted, toast and then some sweet pomme-like fruits. Sweet grain.
The flavor had the sweet enriching maltiness flowing back and forth between the grains and malts. Toast to caramel malty enriching aftertaste flows into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionable to sipping quality about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt good as is.
Overall, nice English Strong ale worthy of having every winter if I could get it in my distro.

Deep drown with ruby highlights. Creamy light tan head. Full of caramel malt, light roasted, some toasted grain, sweet fruity notes. A nice warming back end as it goes by. Sweet and malty with a good dose of fruit and toasted malt. Finish is slightly bitter. A really nice warmer.

12oz bottle. Stained-glass amber-red, with a thin, patchy beige head. This is quite a great beer, big caramel tones, but even bigger steady piny hop tones. There is also some alcohol warmth, some vanilla tinged fruity amber malt, and some burnt coffee tones. Quality ingredients and excellent execution. This beer makes me want to move to the Northwest. Excellent.

On tap at TCBF, pours dark amber. This is similar to the Double Danger Ale. Aroma and flavour of sweet dried fruits, caramel malts and quite a bit of sweetness. Very good.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty spicy caramel aroma with some hints of hops. Sweetish malty spicy hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweetish warming malty caramel finish with some hoppy hints and a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Pours up clear deep copper with off white head. The aroma is mildly roasted malts mixing with sweeter malts and mild pine hops. The taste is a sweet mix of roasted malts and pine hop bitterness. The sweetness runs right along the dryer roasted malts and pine hop bitterness. The bitterness does build some into the finish. Delicious hoppy - roasty malt beer.

Bottle (7.5%) Aroma of evergreens and roasted caramel. Good amber color with a white head lacking retention. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Sweet roasted malt with balancing resiny hop. Very nice mix of flavors. The finish is not too dry and not too bitter. More barely wine than double IPA. Excellent.

Rich fruity and clovy aroma. Poured deep orange with lasting white head, tiny bubbles. no lacing. Rich malty flavour with a strong backbone. Malty and spicy finish that lasts a long time. Altho’ this is a strong one, you don’t taste the alcohol. This is a sipper.

Bottle: Browninsh orange pour with a medium white head, light lacing. Nose of citrus and floral hops, taste is more dry with the florals and some sweet malt and citrus in the tail. Warming, hint of alcohol. Nice, lingering hops bitter trailer. Creamy mouthful.
