The abbey-dwelling monks of Belgium were traditionally allowed one Tripel Ale a day to give them sustenance during their 40-day fasts. Pfriem Belgian Tripel is brewed with another purpose in mind. Its aromas of floral grass and hints of pear and apricot flavor are perfectly balanced with the spiciness of noble hops to leave the palate with a zesty earthiness intended not to sustain its drinkers but instead leave them completely satiated.

Cloudy glowing golden with a white head. Aroma is bright citrus, floral, lemongrass, and a bit of yeast spiciness. Medium, creamy but bubbly body. Flavor has mostly floral, lemony citrus, apricot, and a finish of spice. It ends with nice lingering bitterness and sweet fruits. A very nice tripel.

On tap at pFriem, pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma contains notes of floral hops, grass, and pear. Flavour is extremely dry, bringing out notes of spicy hops, grass, a little floral quality, and very dry pears. Extremely dry, hoppy and spicy, without any hint of residual sugar, just how I like my tripels. Excellent stuff.

Clear amber pour with small white head. Fruity aroma with many grassy notes. Full bodied malty flavor with no alcohol notes. Plummy finish
