Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky opaque dull gold apricot juice colored body that supports a nice white head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up orange, a hit of lime, mango and a sense of spicy almost herbals hoppiness. The taste delivers juicy citrus with tangelo, lime, tangerine and grapefruit and then softer mango cantaloupe notes. Behind the juiciness is a thin layer of spicy hop dankness. Solid. This has a pleasing flavor depth and balance with hop bitterness and juiciness at equal strengths and the soft tropical notes filling in around the edges.

Draught @ Half Door Brewing, San Diego. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, tropical fruit, peach, pineapple. Flavor is light bitter, malt, tropical fruit, pienapple, citrus. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. Nice drinkability. 250718

On tap at Half Door, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out tropical fruits, pineapple, and citrus hops. Flavour is fairly fruity, with dank hops, light earth, and citrus. Fruity and lightly dank. Solid stuff.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma is full of juicy citrus and tropical fruits with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor is similar with sweet citrus and tropical fruit throughout with a hint of bitterness underlying.

Draught @ the brewpub, San Diego. Aroma has sweet tropical fruits and some pineapples. Flavour is sweet, sticky and glueish with tropical fruits, pineapple juice and grapefruit. A bit too sweet but I like the aggressive hops here.

Orange with a white head. Aroma is nice and fruity with soft candy and slight earth. Medium bodied. Bitter finish. A standard IPA. But it’s ine if the higher standards.
