To round out the spectrum and mix up the seasonal heft, we brewed a session pale ale called, Callow Knife, to join cold spell. This beer is a malt twin to Daisy Cutter, but we dry hopped the snot out of it with Falconer and Citra hops. These are new hops to our brewery and ones we were eager to get in the tank.

Golden orange with a white head. Aroma was citrus and tropical fruits, light sweetness, floral notes. Medium thin body. Flavor was heavy on the hops with light malt backbone. Tropical and citrus fruit tones, floral, sweet candied malts. Love how much flavor is packed into the low abv. Delicious.

Purchased from Half Acre in growler form, enjoyed on New Years Eve at home. Appearance is a cloudy gold, slightly dark, with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma is huge on the citrus hops, slight spice as well, can’t say there’s much other than hops in the aroma, but it smells pretty good! Definitely dry hopped. Taste is fantastic, goes down nice and smooth with a slight crispness mixed with the bitterness of the hops, slight sweet from citrus. This stuff is great, actually like it more than Daisy Cutter.

enjoyed during 2011 RBWG pours dirty blond with a medium off white head. Aroma is big citrus hops and grassy malts. Flavor is the same the hops in this are very nice, not your average pale ale, bordering on IPA.
