One of our flagship beers, this is an example of the classic English Ordinary Bitter. A rich, malty, amber colored beer. Full of caramel and toffee notes, it finishes smooth for a very easy drinking pint. At 4% alcohol by volume, you can have a few and still get home safely.

Hand pull at brewpub. Amber orange pour. Creamy beige head. Kilned malt nose hints at toasted bread. Soft, ethereal mouthfeel. Dried herbs, quince paste and brewed tea. Smooth and relaxing. Well done.

Cask at Local 44: pours copper with white head. Aroma is earthy and hints of toffee. Taste is sort of bitter, low sweetness. Nothing off. Good.

Hand pour at Forest&Main. Greyed brown body, massive off-white head. Chocolate malt tones flesh it out. Darker than typical. Pleasant balance. Good.

Medium brown. Lightly toasted malts, caramel, nutty. Softly carbonated. This is a gem. Love their take on the style.
