Pour is dark with a nice looking, two-finger thick head. Aroma of roasted malts, light cocoa, fleeting molasses. Medium, creamy body. Flavor is quite enjoyable and very much a standard porter. Roasty malts, chocolate, light molasses. Very nice. (Growler from the brewery)

Growler from the brewpub. Pours brownish-black with a medium light brown head that dissipates slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt, as well as some dark chocolate. Medium, dry body with a roasty and smokey character and flavors of malt, coffee and chocolate. Tangy hops are present at times as well. The finish is espresso and chocolate with a hoppy aftertaste. Enjoyable all around.
