MBCC. Almost black without head. Aroma is sweet, honey, black currant and light bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. Oily. 240525

Pours very dark purple. Scent is full, black and boiled red fruits. Taste is full, sweet with a big fruit acidity. Very pronounced. Noticable high acidity, which works really well here.

(375ml bottle from Glasbanken back in the day) Pours deep purple with no head. Aroma of intense dark sweetened berries, black currant sure but also blueberry vibes and a little black grape/dessert wine, lots of oak with some vanilla, bourbon is fairly retiring. Flavour is qutie sweet up front, again intense sweet black currant, mixed forest berries and some red dessert wine, smooth honey tones, vanilla, earthy oak, nice bourbon backbeats, a little tobacco, currant tartness edging into the honeyed sweetness in the finish which is long and berry laden with oak and vanilla coating the mouth. Medium-bodied, quite oily, flat. Maybe not the most cassis-forward, being more of a dark berry/vinous mead, but the prominent oak and smooth bourbon is a lovely touch.

Bottle from Glasbanken. Dark purple. Loads of berries, not distinct currant. Heavy on the vanilla too, some bourbon and oak lingering. Touch of tartness. Long, lingering currant finish. Phenomenal stuff!
