Cans. Black body with a beige head that slowly fades. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, cherry and prune. Flavour of cherry, liquorice and salted chocolate. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. This is really excellent. The sea salt stops this from being too sweet and cloying.

Tap at Brewdog Gbg. Dark brown with beige head. Basically liquid forest cake/sacher. Loads of rich, dark chocolate with a tangy cherry undertone. Some raspberry/cranberry present too. A touch of acidity. Highly drinkable.

Black beer, lively brown head soon fizzles out. Smells of cherries and dark chocolate. Big cherry hit up front but it's not sickly as it's balanced beautifully with a good hefty malt hit on top of chocolate again and lactose. Won't knock your socks off but if you like a sweet, creamy stout then this should absolutely hit the mark for you.
