This beer was made using the same technique we used to make jelly King, but incorporates a small amount of darker specialty mulch for subtle cocoa/coffee flavors (and dark color). Adding an extra step, reconditioned it disappear on top of the stout-soaked tart cherries from the recently released 3 Minutes to Midnight.

(500ml bottle, ~1yo, care of Phyllomedusa) Pours a cola colour with a small persistent whitish ring of bubbles. Notes dominated by tart cherry, light lactic acidity, softly sweet dark malt, very light toasty roast, maybe a little chocolate. On balance it's only very lightly tart and relatively dry, with a slightly sweet cherry cola core. Finish is dry with persistent cherry and earth. Rather light bodied and a touch watery, with average carbonation. Decent enough, possibly a bit faded over the year in the cellar, but for me lacked the substance in the grain bill to support the cherry quality.

Brown color. Cherry chocolate aroma, like some quality ice cream, amarena, nice. Lean body, mild caramel and chocolate flavor, moderate sourness, some cherries.
Nice.

Medium brown, no head. The aroma has a lot of deep cherry fruitiness, with some dark sugars. Good balance, the dark fruits and dark malts go well together. Bit of tartness in the finish. Pretty happy with this one.

500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of dark red cherries, light tartness, a touch of sweetness, and some pith. Flavour is very pleasant, with lots of lightly tart dark cherries and a touch of vanilla-like sweetness. Nothing overly deep, but the flavours are very pleasant. Very good.
