(Draught at Bar Hop, Sept 19 2013) Pours a quite hazy straw yellow with a small white head, no lace. Aroma has loads of complex hops - tropical fruit, especially passion fruit and mango, citrus, earthy pine, dank, maybe a bit funky as well, hard to parse the Brett out from the hops but it smells good. Palate follows the nose at first, hoppy fruit, but with a nice funky Brett character and some light tart (but not sour) flavours in the middle, and a dry, moderately hoppy finish with a bit of lingering funk. Body medium, carb moderate. It’s not sour at all but I thought the Brett and hops worked together nicely, it was complex and flavourful and refreshing. Very nice APA with a twist.
