Autumnal Red Ale. Tawny in colour with a lasting, medium, off-white head of lacy bubbles, Red Fox features a little yeast and forest fruit on the nose and offers a taste of biscuit and caramel with the tang of blackberry, toast and marmalade in the finish.

Cask at The Ship, Soho. It pours clear brown with a small off-white head. The nose is toffee, fruit cake, wood, toast and brown bread. The taste is bitter-sweet, wood, earth, toast, toffee, dried berry and brown bread with a dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Simple, well-balanced and pretty drinkable. Alright stuff.

Cask at the Bishop on the Bridge, Winchester. Brilliant copper in colour with a thin translucent head; the taste is gently fruity, with underlying soft caramel; and then some spicy warmth to the biscuity finish. A rather plain and ordinary attempt at an autumn ale.
