Autumnal Red Ale. Tawny in colour with a lasting, medium, off-white head of lacy bubbles, Red Fox features a little yeast and forest fruit on the nose and offers a taste of biscuit and caramel with the tang of blackberry, toast and marmalade in the finish.

[Cask at General Havelock, High Wycombe] Amber-red with a moderate, lasting white head and a slight fizz. Caramel and toffee dominate, with a little stewed apple and some digestive biscuit. The earthy bitterness in the finish wasn’t quite enough to balance, leaving it rather sweet for me. Not one of Fullers’ better efforts.

Deep amber color, decent creamy beige head. Nose is hoppy with nuts, wood and flowers. Soft palate. Nutty hoppy, woody, slightly acidic flavor. Quite plain cask ale from Fullers.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear copper colour. Fruity nose with some butter and boiled vegetables. Medium bodied with clean rounded mouthfeel. Slight salty spicy cardboard finish. Rather lifeless.
