Gamme Grande Cuvée. Unlike typical porters, our Baltic Porter is brewed in the traditional style as a bottom-fermenting lager. The result is a luxuriously round, but robust, black beer with a mild bitterness. A special blend of roasted malts provides this porter with flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, and you’ll enjoy it’s subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt.

Bottle shared at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!". Pours near black with a small tan head. Aroma of big roast, raisins, dark fruits, caramel, malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter. Some coffee coming out in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Botella de 75 en el lúpulo. En el momento 12_02-2014 Cuerpo fuerte con sensación alcohólica bastante acentuada con 10 vol bastante notables. Aromas especiados algo tostados y dulces ahumados. Sabores tostados y dulces bastante intensos intensificándose cada vez mas según va calentando. Especias, vainilla, bastante apreciable también. Ligeros toques quemados. Bastante buena con un cuerpo intenso, suave y sedoso que se bebe bien. Para repetir sin duda. Gran cerveza canadiense.

Bouteille 75cl, bottled on 03/2013. Brune foncée, col moyen café au lait. Arôme malté grillé, note torréfiée-café ponctuée d’un bouquet subtile de fruits noirs. Palais offre une belle profondeur maltée, fruité noir rappelant les cerises et dates. Sucre brun résiduel sur un léger caramel - mélasse. Amertume n’est pas en reste avec un ajout amérisant et fruité. Garde une levure rappelant un côté belge. Bière a partagée et qui devient vite épaisse et rattrapée par ses 10%.

Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of coffee, mocha, dried fruits, chocolate, cherry jam, bit of chloride. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, mocha, dark caramel, coffee, liquorice, bit earthy. Aftertaste: mocha, coffee, sweet, plums and other dried fruits, little bitter, some overripe banana.

Aroma has cocoa, some salty licorice and hints of soy sauce. Flavour is sweet with salty licorice, soy sauce and some roasted notes. Too sweet and malty. This one has some elements from foreign stouts.
The cork had a leak months before enjoying but the contents seem to be OK.

Pours pitch black with a tiny head. Aroma of roasty malts, dark chocolate, coffee, hints of ripe fruits and smoke. Taste is smooth, sweet and syrupy with notes of roasty dark chocolate and ash. Finish is sweet, sticky and syrupy with notes of roastiness, dark chocolate and smoke. A bit too sweet for my taste.

Bottle 750ml. corked @ [ (Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting) by Chriso - London ].Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, wood, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, tart roasted, chocolate, port wine, cheery, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle from Kensington Wine Market, Calgary. It pours deep brown with a small off-white head. The nose is caramel, cola, cherryade, cocoa, wood and earth. The taste is pretty sweet actually....cola, roasted malt, sweet liquorice, tanginess, cherryade, umami aspect, brown sugar and chocolate. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Hides alcohol well. Not bad, just too sweet really.
