Coffee porter released for Colorado Beer Week 2011.
In honor of Craft Beer Weeks all around the US, Left Hand created a special one-off beer called Beer Week Sauce Porter. This American-style porter contains a fair amount of coffee; which is just the thing that you’ll need to keep going through this week!

You’d better love coffee if you’re going to drink this because at is all you are going to taste - at first, I was all about this, but as the beer warmed, some of the undesirably characteristics of the coffee became too strong, such as the acidity and deep roast, that eventually started to taste like char - there is no nuance to how the coffee is used here, so while I still sort of like it, it is ultimately a weak attempt.
