Sampled @ Kalfaret Brygghus. A clear dark reddish-ruby body with a lasting small creamy head that sticks around. Not extreme on the aroma, still, tones of sweet sticky caramel with some chocolate and something that reminds me of yeast. Not bad. Something near a mild creamy texture on this one, and flavor wise it's more like a light sweet porter. Some chocolate and caramel hints here. Ends with a thin sour hint in the finish and a sweet lasting aftertaste. Not a extreme stout in any way, but it's light drinkable, it will probably please the crowd, and I guess it's nice enough. 16.02.2012

On tap at Kalfaret. Has a very deep clear red-brown colour with a off-white to light beige small head. Lovely aromas of roasted malt and coffee, with some dark chocolate. More coffee and dark chocolate in the flavours with more clearly sweet malt. Nice roasted tones in the end. A oily and silky mouthfeel. Surprisingly flavourful despite what it seems to be a filtered ale.

On tap at the Kalfaret, Bergen.
Dark reddish/brown coloured, small pale beige head that went away very fast. Mild chocolate, caramel and chicory aroma with the same spicy notes that Bayer had. But Bayer is way better.

Sampled on tap from a very nice 100ml glass at the brew house (4.5%ABV). Filmy off-white head that left some great lacing on the glass. Deep mahogany body. Discreet notes of cocoa and spicies in the aroma. Roasted taste of chocolate followed by bitter dark fruits in the ending. Smooth on the swallow and easy to drink (15.11.2007).
