On tap @ Amundsen 2011.11.14 Deep ruby red body with a small off-white head. Mild fruity aroma with some caramel. Flavor is sweet, slightly roasted malt, fruity bitter and hint of chocolate. Medium body, the aftertaste has a moderate but sharp bitterness. Quite OK, but nothing outstanding here.

Fra fat på Amundsen, Oslo 19 Okt 11. Ekstremt dyprød. Flott kremaktig skum som fester seg til glassveggen og daler sakte. Pent. Aroma? Smak? Til nød merkes litt bitterhet i avslutninga. Like innholdsløs som en makrolager - men penere!

250ml, draught at the brewpub. Pours an attractive, almost mahogany coloured body covered with a thin, beige layer and a few bubbles at the edge of the glass. Plain roasted aroma of mid-sweet malts. Dark chocolate flavour plus a note of caramel followed by dark fruits towards the ending. Well made brew, very moreish (Oslo, 30.08.2011).

On tap at the brewpub. A finger-thick, off-white head sits on top of a cear, dark ruby colored body. The aroma has a ligth peatyness, a touch of roasted malts, as well as drired fruits and a whiff of dms. It’s lighlty roasted and peaty on the palate, with dried fruits and some bitterness. Silky, thin and a bit flat. Some bitterness in the end. Clearly not in top form this one, yet it’s a quite tasteful and easy drinking beer. 110823

Tap @ Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri, Oslo. Pours a near clear dark red/light brown body with a small sidesticking beige head leaving nice lacing down the glass. Aroma is roasted malty, smoky and really ashy! Almost like sniffing down an ashtray. Light oily to sticky texture, soft to average carbonation and medium-bodied. Tastes just as ashy as it the aroma would have me believe. Also notes of light fruity yeast and something quite sweet. Quite nice flavored, but I suspect the brewer might have accedentaly dropped a sigarette in this batch..
