Draft at the source. Clear pale amber, off-white head. Citrus, tangerine, tropical fruit, grapefruit, caramel. Good stuff.

Taster at brewery. Orange golden pour, small skin of head. Aroma is malty, leather, tobacco. Taste brings in the hops, piney, playing on the malts. Nice feel throughout all of their beers. Subdued hops that linger for a while.

Amber, maybe a bit of haze, some minty hop and honeyish malts. Ok, low bitter but the sweet malts are nice.

22 oz bottle from Half Time. Fruity aroma, kinda orange marmalade-like, with some boozy, almost wine-like notes, bit of pine, and a good bit of caramel / toffee as well. Pours murky darker orange color, small, frothy off white head and some light spotty lacework. Flavor-wise, good bit of hop bitterness over a big, fairly sweet malt backbone. Decent mouthfeel, feels boozier than it is, and it's a little sticky, but otherwise, a solid feel. Seems to be attempting decently well at a classic DIPA, but the components could use some rounding, mouthfeel could use some massaging, and just overall the whole beer could use a bit of an expert's hand to smooth out the flaws. There's still some good bones here though.

On tap at Stormbreaker, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out resinous hops and some grapefruit. Flavour brings out lots of resinous hops upfront, followed by tropical fruits and caramel malt sweetness. Solid balance but nothing overly interesting or complex for the style.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper with small white head that lasts. The aroma is pine, caramel, tropical fruit. Medium mouth, grapefruit, caramel, resin finish, very nice.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a dark amber color with a quick fading head. Caramel malty aroma. Initially sweet flavor with a lot of caramel flavor. Malty. Long dry, semi bitter finish. Tastes a little more boozy than just 8%. Not your typical double IPA, but a good beer overall. Enjoyed this.

Keg at the taproom, 08/11/14. Lightly hazed orange golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is orange pith, pine, grapefruit, fresh hop tunes. Taste comprises a solid pine linger, grapefruit, bitter orange, straw, mango. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a hoppy linger. Solid enough DIPA, drinks below the ABV.
