Draft at District Tap House. Darker orange pour. Caramel and some grains. Grapefruit hops. Slightly soapy, boozy notes on the aroma. Tastes heavily malty and a little soapy. Bit of heat on the finish. Fairly bitter, but not the kind of bitterness you want. It's kind of an astringent bitterness. Not very good.

A murky dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light and mundane, OK. In mouth, a rather toasted caramel malt with light grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, a bit of coconut, OK. On tap at District Tap House NYC.

Chris and Alisa brought this one back for me from a trip to New Jersey. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with lots of tiny floaters and a medium sized fluffy orange-tan head that left decen lacing. The aroma was malty caramel, pine and resin. The flavor was rather bitter with notes of pine, resin and grapefruit and undertones of toffee and caramel. Long bitter pine and grapefruit finish. Medium body. Ok.
