At Crooked Stave, GABF week 2014. Tons of cherry flavor and aroma. Yeast in the aroma, and the horseblanket aroma lets you know it is going to be sour. Tart cherry flavor, and tons of it. A little thick on the palate. Nearly as good as a pomegrante, but maybe a little less aroma than that beer. Personally i would label this as a fruit beer or even a fruit lambic. I donโt think it has t he qualities of a Flanders style red or brown.

Sample at The Source. Murky reddish color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Cherries, yeast and malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of tart cherry, funky yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a sweet and sour cherry aftertaste. Good beer all around.

On tap @ the Source. Pours a murky maroon appearance with a tan head. Spicy cinnamon, nutmeg, cherry pie filling, a bit vinegar aroma. Pretty fucken sour, black cherry, vinous, tangy acetic, a bit woody flavor. รhรฏll beer.
