An organic northwest sour ale. This beer is fermented spontaneously on the Logsdon Farm, so all yeast and lactobacillus are naturally occurring from the surrounding orchards and forests of the area. Malt sweetness and flavorful hop additions give way to subtle layers of acidity and mouthwatering tartness. This beer represents our transition to wild ales; our conversion to the wild side.

Draft - Funky citrus, light soapy and light tropical fruits. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Like juice and boring. Very disappointing.

On tap at The Beer Mongers. Pours a cloudy orange with large frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong funk, wood, citrus, yeast. Medium mouth, yeast, citrus, strong funk, tart finish, very nice.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma has a light graininess with moderate acidity including lemon and orange. Medium light herbal, grassy, phenolic note. Quite a bit of stone fruit and pear with lighter red apple and tropical fruit notes. As it warms it becomes more phenolic. Pours a cloudy, pale gold with a large, rocky, white head of moderate thickness with high lacing and small legs. Average retention. Flavor is moderately acidic with some lemon and light orange notes. Medium light grain character with quite a bit of phenolic notes. A harsh, unwelcome bitterness does not work with the acidity. Medium light stone fruit and tropical fruit. Phenolic isn?t plastic, but there is a strong herbal, phenolic character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but the harsh bitterness doesn?t work well with the acidity and hard water. Nice acidity and decent fruitiness, but too bitter and phenolic.

Bottle. Lemony nose, yogurt and cream, very lactic. Bright pastel yellow. Deep, cloudy, with a fine head. Great tangy flavor, perfect balance, silky and oily. Licely light acidity. Great lemon. Wonderful.

Bottle with Stephen. Big thanks! A bit hazy yellow appearance with a cream colored head. Tropical fruit, orange juice, brett, funk, and bubblegum aroma. Moderately tart, big juicy peach, white grape, vanilla flavor. Dry and fruity and juicy. Excellent.

750ml bottle thanks to Derek. Pours out a hazy straw topped with a white head. Nose is a bretty yeast spice pepper and peach sweetness. Taste is as the nose with a nice sour touch lots of yeast.

On tap at The Beer Stein, pours a clear burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma is like that of an amber ale, with notes of dry toasted malt, bread, and earthy notes. Not really getting any wild character at all, never mind any sourness. It's okay, but no where close to Logsdon's usual quality.
