Nutty, with hints of cocoa and caramel, finished by pumpernickel bread and a mild floral bitterness on the fade. Okay, about what I was expecting for a house beer on the Biltmore tour.

Location: Draft at the Biltmore, 1/1/15, My 100th Brown Ale Rating!
Aroma: The nose is light, sweet malts, toast, some caramel, and some nutty notes
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear brown color with a decent sized head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is clean and a little sweet, malty, with a good balance from the light bitterness
Palate: It drinks very nicely, with a clean and smooth mouthfeel, and a nice finish
Overall Impression: Pretty nice example of an English style brown. It isn't an out of this world beer, just a clean, drinkable, enjoyable one. There's always a place for that.
