Pours a light copper from a bottle. Aroma is a citrusy hoppiness, I’ll admit to never having been aware of the flavor profile of Citra hops, but you can pick up the dry hopped Cascades a bit on the nose. The grapefruit cited in the description is almost nonexistent, I feel like I only pick up on it when I burp. A nice balanced sweetness, not too bitter, but good hoppy flavor. A good beer, a nice representative of the style.

Draft at Beer Run, 8/23/14. Pours a hazy copper with a thin creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, tropical, pine hops, caramel and mildly doughy malt. The taste is citrus, tropical hops and mild caramel. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Bottle offered @ gmellison via trade. A bit hazy yellow orange appearance with an off white head. Bright grapefruit, tangerine citrusy aroma. Nice body. Pretty juicy. Lots of fruit. Slightly floral. Decent brew.

Pours a bright orange-gold color with a medium foamy eggshell white head that recedes gradually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of grapefruit, grassy hops and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle from oh hell I forget. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a huge bubbly frothy white head that shows great retention. Earthy resinous citrusy aromas dominate the nose with a light bready maltiness deep underneath. The flavor follows the aroma but the bitter pithy grapefruit is much more evident. Light mineral water with a moderate amount of bitterness from the peel as well as the hops. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Smells wonderful, tastes pretty good but the raw grapefruit flavors got to me a bit over time.

Sampled on draft at Dad’s Pub this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that lingered but left no lacing. The aroma was strong tangy lemon, grapefruit and perfume. The flavor was semi-sweet and tart with notes of lemon, grapefruit, pine, perfume and a faint caramel undertone. Medium length finish. Light to medium body. Solid.

New beer distributors, new York 650 ml ($7): Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit, pine, resin, and a light malt backbone. Taste is very citrus. There is not only grapefruit, but also other fruits like some lemon. Well balanced, but still hop forward.

Dark orange. Nose is dank with hints of leather and pee. Very resinous taste. Lots of dank woody tree fruit and tangerine. A bit too harsh.
