Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7
Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow, 5/6/14
Aroma: The aroma is mostly burnt and toasted malts, with some underlying earthy hops
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a frothy beige head and drippy lace spots
Flavor: Flavor-wise, it is malty and dry, like slightly burnt toast, with pretty minimal sweetness
Palate: The mouthfeel is clean and also a little chalky, with a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression: This is an interesting beer. I get a lot of burnt toast flavors out of it, and it is quite malty, despite not being sweet at all. Interesting stuff. Maybe a bit one notes, but interesting stuff none-the-less.
