Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Location: Sampled at TapNY, 4/26/14, with apple/beat syrup added
Aroma: The nose is fruity and tart, a little sour, with hints of wheat and spice
Appearance: The pour is a pinkish-red color (mostly from the syrup I'm sure) and beige head
Flavor: The flavor is tart and refreshing, gets a hint too sweet, but otherwise is right on
Palate: The body light and clean, it has an average carbonation, and a dry, tart finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a really nice berliner. I think the beat and apple syrup that was added made for a pretty nice addition, but it may have also made the beer a hint too sweet. Still, this was really nice. I was impressed by this brewery (much better than the all too confusingly similarly named Bacchus Brewing Company).
