On tap at Belmont Station Bier Cafe, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out fresh Thai basil, with a bit of oak and saison yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with light oak, Thai basil, and some herbal notes. Bone dry and fairly monolithic on the Thai basil. Okay.

Location: Draft at Spuyten Duyvil, 3/23/14

Aroma: The nose is spice, lots of basil, some mint, grass, and plenty of Belgian yeast notes
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a small head and light lace
Flavor: The taste is much the same, basil/mint with Belgian yeast, spice, and a little funk
Palate: The body is medium, it drinks nicely, with a clean, mild dry finish to it
Overall Impression: Overall, I really enjoyed this. Much more of a Saison than a sour in my opinion. I get some funky flavors, but not a lot of tart. The basil works nicely.
