Bottle @ home. Dark red-brown color, medium sized beige head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is malts, a lot of herbs or spices. Don’t like it. Taste malts, again lots of herbs or spices, sweetish. Decent body and carbonation. No, not my thing at all.

Appearance: Foggy brownish color with a thick tan head. Nice lacing.
Aroma: Spruce and myrtle.
Palate: Medium (+) body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Spruce, myrtle, dark malty some nice hoppy notes.
Overall impression: I really like beer like this. Nice tasty stuff. Especially for dark winter night by the bonfire.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Fredrikstad, Norway

330ml bottle, batch 399, from Vinmonopolet Langnes, shared with Richard. Slowly fading beige head over a near-clear mahogany coloured body. Fair lacing. Smell of dusty hops, and mid-sweet earthy malts. Nicely mixed taste of pine needles, leaves, and malty sweetness added by a spicy touch. Malt-fruity finish. Fine bodied. A well-crafted old ale (lunchtime, Tromsdalen 06.09.2015).

Pours hazy amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, floral, herbal and forest. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long caramel, floral and herbal finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
