Rich, very cloudy orange and copper colorued body with a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright yeast and bread, some earthy malt, a bit of herbal and grassy hops and a nutty, spicey character. Medium-bodied; Assertive herbal and spices up front with a large pepper and hay presence, some subdued malts and a little hop kick near the end. Aftertaste is mostly centered around the yeast (makes sense) and the herbal and grassy flavours, but some very light sweetness comes through from honey and a bit of dry spices flavour the yeast. Overall, a nice and flavourful, pungent Belgian-inspired IPA with less hops than expected (but that could be due to a not fresh beer) but still the characters play well and this is well worth trying for folks who enjoy the style and especially the complexity. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Central Market in Houston, Texas on 10-August-2013 for US$5.35 sampled at home in Washington on 13-March-2014.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Yeast and grapefruit aroma. Big grapefruit and summer fruit flavor with pine and yeast. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Grapefruit and yeast linger with spice and summer fruit.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 6/4/13

Aroma: The nose has a mix of Belgian yeast, grassy hops, spice, and a some fruity notes
Appearance: A clear golden-orange color with a larger, lasting off-white head and heavy lacework
Flavor: The taste is much the same, spicy, yeasty, and a little fruity, with a fairly bitter finish to it
Palate: The body is medium, it is soft, with a light spice tingle, and a lengthy, dry finish
Overall Impression: I actually found this to be a very solid example of a Belgian IPA. I really quite enjoyed what they did here, it isn't amazing, but it is north of solid.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy orange with medium frorhy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hop and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with bitter hop and grapefruit with light spice finish. Very good.
