Location: Draft at 4th Ave Pub, 3/16/13
Aroma: The aroma of this beer has Belgian yeast, spice, some floral notes, lemon, and a bit of grass
Appearance: It pours into the glass a golden color with a white head and and some white lace
Flavor: This one has a spicy and yeasty Belgian flavor to it with a light-mid hop bitterness
Palate: The body of this one is medium, it has a pretty solid feel, and a lightly dry finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This one is a Belgian IPA that is much heavier on the Belgian then it is on the IPA. The Belgian yeast strain is really very nice though, and the mild IPAness of it enhances the beer, even if it isn't particularly noticeable when compared to the Belgianness. Personally, I enjoyed it quite a bit, and I'd certainly say it is worth trying, but it should be kept in perspective, because I'd say you are getting a slightly hoppy Belgian Single then an IPA.

Keg at the Blind Tiger, NYC. Pours clear, bright gold with a fine, white foam head. Lovely though somewhat mild aroma of tangy lemon, mellow yeast. Light to medium sweet flavor with decent bitterness, some grass and pine, melon, grapefruit. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Clean, faintly tangy and resinous finish, a little dryness, lemon, grapefruit, light yeast and funk. Very drinkable though not very deep.

Tap at Gingerman. Pours pretty bright yellow with white soapy head. Nose is hoppy and citrusy. Tastes of lemony citrus, resin, yeasty, pungent piney hops, soap, vanilla, grass, and quite floral. Nicely carbonated and refreshing.
