Bottle from Safeway. Wan't expecting this to be this good. Wow! Kicks off with a deep golden pour, small, soft, clingy head. Aroma is caramel and earthy hops. Taste brings in a big full bitter hoppy taste, with the sweet caramel coming in underneath. Round and full and flavorful. Wonderful throughout, with a nice lingering burn. Two thumbs up!

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a hazy, dark orange-golden body under a big, off-white head. Some lacings. Quite intensely hoppy aroma, with green pine cones, grapefruit and a little malty touch. A good dash of malty sweetness in the flavor, but there’s plenty of bitterness to deal with it. Grapefruit, pine cones and citrus fruit in the flavor. Full body, still feeling almost watery on the palate, adding to the drinkability of the beer. Pleasant carbonation, and a lasting finish with the bitterness and hoppy flavors dominating. A really pleasant one. 130822

22 oz. bottle, pours a pretty much clear copper orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of tropical fruits, some piney hops, and a little bit of skunky notes. Flavour brings out loads of herbal, skunky hoppy notes, maybe a touch of sweetness, and finishing on dry, herbally hoppy notes. Very well-balanced. The sweetness comes out more after a while. Solid IIPA.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods-Bowery, 3/10/13
Aroma: It has lots of fruit (mango, tangerine, grapefruit) along with some malts, and pine/resin
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a 2 finger thick froth of lasting beige head
Flavor: The taste has some sweetness up-front, but in the mid-end palate it gets quite hoppy
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, a sticky feel, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: This is actually a heck of a DIPA. It has a really nice hop feel to it with a clean, soft feel. I honestly didn't expect this one to be as good as it is, so I am pleasantly surprised.
