The true taste of East Kent, this pale ale is brewed simply with pale malt and Goldings hops grown on Humphrey’s farm, just down the road. It’s fresh, hoppy, clean and bitter.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Thompson and Niilstrong. Clear yellow golden color, full sized white head that lasts for quite a while. Smell and taste malts, malt bitter, hop bitter, a slight metallic hint. Suitable body and carbonation. I quite like it. Not bad at all!

Cask @ Akkurat. Reisonous with notes of apricots, honey and knäckebröd. Soft mouthfeel. My favorite beer from Ramsgate to this date.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 19/2/2014. Deep gold with a tight, white head. Crisp aroma of grapefruit, tangerines and slightly creamy malts. Easy drinking for the ABVm with lots more fruit, solid mlats and a dryish finish. Very good.

Hand-pulled pint in The Shrewsbury Hotel, Shrewsbury, a Wetherspoons place: on 27th Jan 2014. Light golden body with white foam for a head. I got hops, spruce and herbal notes in both the aroma and taste, the finish being dry and bittering: the beer grew on me as I supped it. I thought it boring and very average until half way down the pint, it then became more interesting and tastier somehow. Hides the alcohol nicely and not a bad brew at all.
