From a 22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear copper with a thick off white head. Aroma of grain and grass. Flavors of hay and resin. Moderately bitter finish.

Still more notes from the 2011 MWBF. The bit from a bottle, so it’s kind of a cloudy, hazy yellow with a little bit of foam. Nice citrus hop to it. Drinks very nicely with good APA malts and hop backup. Yet another APA that is working its magic with me.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/18/12

Aroma: The nose has grassy hops, citrus/orange, a little bit of grain, and some rather light spice notes
Appearance: This one pours a mostly clear orangish-gold color with a small head and some spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, with a malty profile, and some light-medium hop bitterness as well
Palate: The body is medium, it has a semi-smooth feel, some mild stickiness, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: This is my first rating from Big Muddy, I'll assume they just got distribution to NJ, since they just showed up in Buy Rite, and most of their beers have only a small number of ratings, including this one, which only has 20. Anyway, even though this wasn't a favorite APA for me, I still found much of it enjoyable. I'm curious to see what the rest of the beers I purchased from Muddy are like...

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is some citrus hops and dry malt. Flavor is almost no hops with a dry pils malt left on the tounge. Finish has a little bitterness. This was not too good.

From a 220z bomber from Pick’s Liquors poured into a Lager glass. Almost no head, dissipating quickly. Lightly golden in color, with lots of carbonation. Almost looks like a domestic light beer. Aroma is pleasant. Light, floral hops and a bit of bready malt. Good amount of bitterness with light sweetness. Very light bodied, thin texture and average carbonation. Decent bitter finish, going away very abruptly. Not bad overall. There are pales I like better and pales I like less. At $3.99 a bottle though, this beer is a steal!
