Our RIS starts with a hearty backbone of biscuity base malt and is layered with caramel and dark roasted malts, giving the beer a rich, rounded body. The grain blend imparts flavors of toffee and dark chocolate.

Odd 19.2 oz tall can. Pitch black appearance. Aroma brings notes of nice coffee, rich roasted malts, some burnt barley. The malts pretty rich in the flavor. Good layers of malt. Strong showing from 603.

Tall boy can from AFH. Thanks man. Chasing those RIS ticks. Pours an oily pitch black. 1 finger espresso tan head. Very toasty/Roasty aroma with little bits of coffee, barley, unsweetened coca. thin body has a really well integrated bitterness profile. not too hoppy which is one of my complaints about some of these to style IRS beers. cocoa, brownie, not too sweet. Very tasty.

Sample at the source. Inky black with a stingy tan head that dissipates almost instantly. Rich roast and chocolate with a touch of alcohol some earthy hops and light fruitiness to round it out nicely. I like it.
