This 2017 version of our Black Tuesday imperial stout is blended and fermented on the skins and must of 100% destemmed Napa Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the Rutherford Appellation of Napa Valley. After maturing for nearly a year in French Oak puncheons, this release melds velvety characteristics of cocoa, berries and cassis into a full-bodied beer with nuances of soft tannins.

Bottle. Mahogany beer with little head. Red wine and dark chocolate aroma with caramel. Caramel and red wine flavor with light chocolate. Medium+ bodied. Caramel and red wine linger with light chocolate and light oak. Slight spiciness.

Bottle shared Adamchandler. Purchased at the Bruery Store, DC. I mean this is at least 50% red wine. The stout is pretty hard to find. Slight chocolate, mild caramel, and maybe barrel. Bold red wine through the sip. Real good if you enjoy red wine.

dark blood reddish black. Basically smells like very musty boozy red wine. really intense dry red grape must / skin. Taste is insane. This has got to be like 50% red wine. very dry, booze, grape-forward, loads of chocolate, cocoa, little bit of vanilla and a lot of charred barrel. Unique, special, tasty. Beer?
