“Mon Chéri” means “my darling” in French and this recipe is a love letter from our brewer, Quinn, to his wife who loves cherries. Mon Chéri Stout is made with Balenton and Montmorency cherries, brewed with oats and a dash of brown sugar creating aromas of amaretto and almond. With one sip you’ll instantly get flavors of cherry cobbler, vanilla, and chocolate, followed by a silky, velvety finish.

Thanks to Tips. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth if mildly dry dark malts, good dark chocolate. Dark chocolate Malteasers. Smooth bourbon, rich and fruity. Smooth vanilla and just a modest amount of cherry. Quite a spicy finish.

Bottle pour from share with AirForceHops--many thanks, Chris! It's an opaque dark, dark brown--virtually black--with nice viscosity, ring of khaki head and no lacing. Aroma is moderately strong mix of malt, cherry, granola/oats and bourbon, each sharing the spotlight. None overpowering but each present. Taste is strong bourbon, oat/granola, cherry, malts, and tail end brown sugar in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with velvety smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol, and finish as taste. Overall, not overwhelmingly strong but fantastic balance for all the advertised aromas/flavors.

Damn the dark cherry in this is fantastic, more cherry cordial vibes than any other stout I can remember, lots of chocolate oatmeal stout sweetness, thanks Omar S. !

500ml bottle. Heavy, sweetish and roasty with some cherries, chocolate, bourbon and toffee, some stuffy notes and spicy notes. Okay, but still not a big fan of cherry stouts.

More of a coffee nose than cherry at first. But then some nice cherry cordial slips through. Top, there's some chocolate, and some nice warm alcohol right in the nose. Has a great sweet cherry note. Warming alcohol. Flight barrel notes of oak and vanilla. Another great, sweet Pastry beer.

2019 bottle. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that recedes gradually to a film. Small patches of lace. Bourbon, malt and cherry in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of bourbon, chocolate malt, oak and cherry. The finish is oaky with a bourbon-infused cherry cordial aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Medium brown and a bit cloudy. On the nose, there's a fair bit of cherry, bit of chocolate. On the palate, this is quite a bit more complex. Lots of chocolate, bright cherry, stacks of bourbon, bit of coffee. Complex and well-balanced.
