“Mon Chéri” means “my darling” in French and this recipe is a love letter from our brewer, Quinn, to his wife who loves cherries. Mon Chéri Stout is made with Balenton and Montmorency cherries, brewed with oats and a dash of brown sugar creating aromas of amaretto and almond. With one sip you’ll instantly get flavors of cherry cobbler, vanilla, and chocolate, followed by a silky, velvety finish.

Bottle @ Hallinghansens and Dolle’s Nation Leagues saturday. Denmark-Belgium, 2020. Trade. Pours Black with a small beige head. Coffee, Wood, vanilla, slight Spice - cinnamon and cherriestone. Good roast. Dry finish. Lovely! Lingering roast and gentle warmth.

Medium brown and a bit cloudy. On the nose, there's a fair bit of cherry, bit of chocolate. On the palate, this is quite a bit more complex. Lots of chocolate, bright cherry, stacks of bourbon, bit of coffee. Complex and well-balanced.

500ml on Brian's deck. Appearance: nice dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: booze, sweet cherries, dark malts, some bourbon. Taste: along the same lines, so much of dark sweet cherries. Overall: good one.

Jet black with a small beige head. Dark molasses and some rich cherry notes. Rich cherry and dark chocolate with a long boozy finish. Very nice.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma reveals lots of deep cherries, with burnt brown sugar, gentle bourbon, and amaretto. Flavour is remarkably rich, tasting just like amaretto, with intense cherries, brown sugar, and oak. Absolutely gorgeous expression of the cherries, creating a very amaretto-like character. Divine.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla with some huge sweet black cholate notes with some nice cherry notes also easily noticeable. Taste is also a mix of huge sweet black chocolate notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes is quite enjoyable with nice cherry blossom notes. Body is full with good level of carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Extremely enjoyable and taste like chocolate fudge cherry blossom with some bourbon.

Pours black with thin brown head. Aromas of whiskey, roasted malt, and cherries. Whiskey and tart cherry flavor with slightly bitter roasted malt and some brown sugar sweetness. Full body with minimal carbonation.
