“Mon Chéri” means “my darling” in French and this recipe is a love letter from our brewer, Quinn, to his wife who loves cherries. Mon Chéri Stout is made with Balenton and Montmorency cherries, brewed with oats and a dash of brown sugar creating aromas of amaretto and almond. With one sip you’ll instantly get flavors of cherry cobbler, vanilla, and chocolate, followed by a silky, velvety finish.

Bottle at the December Ratebeer DC Tasting. Poured a black oil color with a deep tan head. Aroma is dark chocolates, vanilla, lots of cherry cordial. Juicy, cherry soda. Roast.

50cl bottle pours an inky black with no head. Very leggy. Nose is booze and toasted marshmellow, vanilla and cherry cordial. Flavor has the malt and vanilla and heavy cherry syrup, cherry cola, booze. Hot finish.

500 ml bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy/foamy dark tan head. Aroma of very dark malt with some cherry. Full bodied. Flavor is smooth burnt malt, chocolate and definitely cherry. Brown sugar too. Not at all dry. Moderately bitter. Lots going on, so much that the bourbon almost got by me! Finally in the complex train of flavor heat emerges in a very demure way. Great stuff.

From a bottle at the Dec 7 RB gathering courtesy of beastiefan. Pours black with a tan head. Aromas of bourbon and oak. Flavors are sweet chocolate covered cherries.

Cherry and bourbon. Roast and chocolate. Coffee. Lots going on here but wouldn't drink a lot of this. Black pour with good head and lacing. Sweet boozy end. Bottle thanks to beastiefan.

500ml bottle pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is sweet chocolate covered cherries and bourbon barrel booze. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate covered cherries wow booze barrel.
