“Mon Chéri” means “my darling” in French and this recipe is a love letter from our brewer, Quinn, to his wife who loves cherries. Mon Chéri Stout is made with Balenton and Montmorency cherries, brewed with oats and a dash of brown sugar creating aromas of amaretto and almond. With one sip you’ll instantly get flavors of cherry cobbler, vanilla, and chocolate, followed by a silky, velvety finish.

Bottle from Harvest Market Inky black in color with a tightly bubbled tan head that dissipates quickly. Licorice and roast with some brown sugar and hints of nutmeg, biscotti, and light pitted fruits. Thick and sticky with a solid alcohol presence. It would be nice to lay one of these down for a bit but frankly chasing beer these days is a waste with so many good brews to be had.

6 ounce draft. Aroma is almond and cherries. Bourbon is soft. Flavor is cherry forward with almonds and a subtle bourbon after the sip. Cherry because juice as it warms. Fresh the berry variations always come off a bit syrupy.

On Draft @ Goose Island Philadelphia. Looks like a slightly lighter BCS and that's common as these get diluted a bit with the fruit. Even has more reddish hues than I'm used to. tiny head that faded fast. man. Intense cherry juice. smells amazing but the taste is a little too much candy / cough syrup for me. honey, cherry juice, sugar syrupy and really no barrel at all left. not even any vanilla. Still tasty but I'm gonna save it for a couple of years.
