“Mon Chéri” means “my darling” in French and this recipe is a love letter from our brewer, Quinn, to his wife who loves cherries. Mon Chéri Stout is made with Balenton and Montmorency cherries, brewed with oats and a dash of brown sugar creating aromas of amaretto and almond. With one sip you’ll instantly get flavors of cherry cobbler, vanilla, and chocolate, followed by a silky, velvety finish.

Draft at the Stadsbrouwhuis, Leiden. Poured almost black in colour with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is roasty, liquorice. The flavour is liquorice bitter and sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, liquorice, warm boozy, oaky, alcohol bitter finish. Full bodied with flat carbonation.

On tap at BPBW 2025. Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, dark chocolate and light cherry nose. Dark chocolate, bourbon barrel, cherry, light vanilla and mild touch of almonds. Alcohol noticable, dry finish.

Tap at BPBW 2025. Very dark brown-black body, off-white head. Smooth aroma and taste, cocoa, citric touches, light carob, some cherries, actually quite well made, the cherries joining the malt & barrel base in a good way. Welp, Goose Island might be owned by the worst megacorp scum in the beer business, but they do make good beers.
