Flesje thuis gedronken. Zwart bier met mooie beige schuimkraag. Aroma is fruitig, zoet en een beetje drop en snoep achtig. Smaak is eveneens zoet en dropachtig. De nasmaak is heel even een beetje bitter maar ebt snel weg.

24 February 2019. Wieze Bierfestival - cheers to Meeki, Ama Deke & the lovely Anke! Hazy dark brown to black with a lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, mocha, toast, burnt caramel, black olive, sweet tobacco, candied plum, banana, raisin. Taste is medium malty sweet, notes of candied banana, burnt caramel, licorice & chocolate, only light roasted bitter then, with toast, mocha, more (spicy) licorice, some dark fruits (raisin, fig) and a touch of ripe pear rendering it slightly phenolic. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, quite phenolic still, lingering licorice & burnt caramel, and a good dash of warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, slick-oily texture, soft carbonation. I wasn't disappointed but I still expected more (due to the name, more of a Moersleutel-like thick black brew).

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, yeast, fruits, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, prunes, and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Very thick-set, dense, fine tan head, stable, over deep dark-brown beer. Sweetish, roasted nose, green leaves, bit bready, alcoholsuggestion. Initially more burnt/roasted than the nose suggested, making it drier in the main taste. The sweetness comes out in the finish. Lots of fruity yeastesters, purple grapes, figs, banana. But the beer is unbalance, pulling in two directions. Creamy head, good carbonation, medium to well-bodied. Light alcoholheat. Bo-o-o-oring. 6/4/6/3/12 Thanks to Stef!

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een donker bruin bier met een dunne schuimkraag. Het heeft een zoete fruitige geur. De smaak is caramel, fruitig en wat bitter.
