Tap pour into glass beer stein. Appearance is clear, dark brown (like cola) with no sparkle, massive, 3-finger width off-white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, toffee, earthy hops. Taste is as aroma. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty representative of the style. Good but not earth-shattering.
