Can. A- Maple, cinnamon, egg batter. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal tan head. T- Cinnamon, maple, slightly roasty, egg batter, mild cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- I'll be damned if this doesn't taste like a fresh skillet of french toast. Wow. Impressive. Tastes natural too. Not cloyingly sweet but it's certainly a rich beer. A 16 oz pint proved almost more than I could do. Definitely one to share. 6-8 oz would have been perfect. Didn't get much vanilla, otherwise pretty spot on. Want to try some more from Hubbard now.

16 ounce can, labeled 12% abv - pours dark black with no head - Jesus, this beer is sweet - I mean, I know you'd expect that to an extent, but boy is it cloying and hard to stomach - tastes and smells as advertised (cinnamon, maple, vanilla) - just so sweet that it is hard to drink more than a few ounces - I guess I should blame myself or buying a beer called french toast, but man - this is some serious handover juice.

Canned, 473 ml, from Supermarket Liquors. Shared with Miro B and Max. Black with brown head. Heavy vanilla, maple, chocolate, very sweet, oily, medium to full bodied. Nice, but too sweet, even cloying for me.

75CL from AFH. Oily pour. No head. Alcohol legs. Smells smoky, licorice and chocolate syrup. Distillate. Flavor is great. Maple, brown sugar, very bitter licorice finish with coffee, cocoa and some sweet potato.

750 ml bottle. Aroma is vanilla, sugar, maple. Flavor has a steady amount of maple throughout. Vanilla and caramelized sugar in the finish. After 6 ounces it becomes to sweet. This needs to be spilt a few ways. Dessert indeed!

Draught @ Beat Brew Hall, Cambridge, MA. Heavy, sticky and syrupy with loads of maple syrup, cinnamon, some roastiness, oak, vanilla and coffee. Quite over the top pastry stout.
