Reviewed from notes.
On tap at Foam Brewers.
Poured into a tulip.
Appearance: glossy burnt yelllow to almost orange with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which settled down at a nice pace and barely left any lace
Aroma: citrusy, wet grains, white pepper, honey, sage-like and some funk, clean malts underneath
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to semi-sweet to herbal spicy tone but seems like a touch of clove is added in here (makes me wonder if I missed that in the aroma or maybe it was intentionally brewed that way, I'm not entirely sure); finishes with the cirrusy to funky and white pepper-y aspect
Texture: light to medium bodied; somewhat sessionable; some smoothness but it seems a bit of an ebb and flow - once again - I ask the question: is that intentional by the brewer or is that me? So sometimes it seems the white pepper shows some assertiveness and then there's some clove that seems to be messing around there too. Odd enough.
Overall: for the most part, it's a good saison to come back to despite it's mysterious ways messing with my palate.

750 ml growler, filled about 12 hours ago. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Mild grain and clove on the nose, mild farmhouse hints, yeast. Medium bodied, softly tart, soft carbonation. This is classic saison and highly drinkable.
