Tap at Cap Hop. Pours pretty dark brown (but not brn/blk) with a foamy beige head. Mildly smoky aroma. Med + body; somewhat slick. Flavor is mildly smoky, somewhat toasty malt. Could be some darkish fruit. Hop could be floral/herb. Mint note? Not really complex, just not easy for me to parse. Smooth and easy drinking.

Mahogany color. Very little nose. Slightly sweet, caramel, cherries, toffee and an underlying nuttiness in the mouth. Very malty, but too carbonated for the style and despite some interesting initial character, it does really shine. Slightly rich. It’s kinda like a lot of Maui beers, a bit of tweaking could make it great but as is it’s not bad.

Location: Draft at the Brewpub, 7/6/12
Aroma: The nose is roasted malts, caramel malts, and nutty notes
Appearance: It pours a dark reddish color, clear, with minimal head and no lace
Flavor: The taste is mid-sweet, much like the nose component wise, with minimal bitterness
Palate: The body is fairly clean, with a smooth feel, and soft carbonation
Overall Impression: This scotch was another solid draft offering from Maui. I didn't get much of the booze or heat, just a nice sweet malty flavor.

Draft. Amber-brown beerw ith a tan head. Light toffee aroma. Toffee and dark fruit flavor. Medium bodied. Toffee and dark fruit lingers with earthiness.
