A dry, flavorful red ale brewed with Mandarina Bavaria hops and our house Brettanomyces yeast. A citrus note on the nose is followed by subtle roast from Belgian specialty malts. The beer is easy drinking now, and will develop a deeper complexity with age. Named in honor of the three Scottish Highland calves born on the Logsdon farm last Spring (2016). Show Less

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam, during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Aroma is mostly biscuity malt with a slightly yeasty character and some caramel. Notes of stewed fruits. Flavour is light sweet with only a hint of sour. Okay-ish, not too impressed, a rare Logsdon disappointment.

Tap @ Beer Temple, 15 cl sample. Slight hazy amber reddish color, short frothy head. Aroma of bubblegum and caramel, like a Red Orval. Taste has bubblegummy sweetness, slight funk, bit toasted caramel. I like, bht ofcourse its not an orval.
