Pours a hazy amber orange with a very small off white head. It smells of caramel malt, dark fruit, and a little ginger. The flavor is really sweet with caramel, ginger, and fruity character. Calling this a pale ale as the Thai restaurant where I got it does is odd as there’s little to no hops presence. They probably should have specified “Belgian pale” as that’s obviously quite different. It’s alright but I’d go for more ginger and a little less sweetness.

Draft at the brewery, 6/10/17. Clear amber-orange. Thin head, no lace. Lots of ginger, some other herbal type notes. A little grass. Drinks very clean. Better than I expected.

Draft @ BCTC, Ommegang Brewery. August, 8, 2015. Amber in color, steady carbonation. Aroma is toasted grain, yeast and subtle ginger.
Flavor is fresh and lively. Balance is pretty damn nice. Lighter body with ginger spice giving the bitterness without it becoming overpowering. Refreshing brew.
