Thanks Doug.
Growler from RT 116 Wine and Spirits.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a light dark orange/almost brown colored, lightly transparent body with a two finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Lacing spider webs but also clings to the glass.
The smell started off with some rich sweet caramel/toffee/bready/biscuit-ness. Undertones of sweet crisp nuttiness. Good buttery aroma (not diaceytal). Light grassiness (mainly from the hops, guessing Hallertau?)
The flavor combined the previously mentioned aromas nicely leading into a caramel/toffee aftertaste riding into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides extremely low. Acceptable stickiness sharply hits my tongue.
Overall, damn nice maibock, if the world knew this is better than Rogue’s Dead Guy, Queen City could corner the North American market for the style. I’d definitely have this again.

Draft at the brewery, 30 May, 2014. Deep red color, lasting head. Mild aroma, light earthy malt and toasted grain. Taste upfront is dark fruit and sweet malt. Mid taste is syrupy with a light earthy note. Soft carbonation, average body.
