Phew. It's very fruity. It's very strong. It's delicious. But three sips and I'm done.

Poured from 375mL bottle (leftovers - thanks beerplace; 12.3% abv listed). Very dark purple with no head. Dark berry, light currant, a little bit thin, okay.

Porto colour, which means, not bright berries, a bit dull instead. Some buttery aroma, perfume, currants. Medium body, moderate sweetness (quite low actually, for the expectations), good currant character, leading to final astringency. It's not bad, but it's mainly a fruit wine, not mead, and overall disappointing.

375ml (thx, Marc-Olivier L.!) @ Alex's becoming a former house. Appearance: very dark copper. Aroma: honey, fruits, some booze. Taste: quite dry, fruity, a lot of tannins, fruits are here, but kinda faded compared to many other meads. A bit oxidized. Overall: interesting, but I expected more.

Bottle pour @TreeRock. Deep, dark, Shiraz pour. Fruity red wine nose. Unsweetened cherry juice, dried blueberries. Fruity merlot/shiraz. Lots of sangria without the added sugar. Dry, tart, thin super astringent but not really all that sour. Alcohol wasn't a concern. Honey is lost. More juice than mead. It was okay.

Bottle sample at Moonlight Meadery, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma brings out all sorts of pith fresh berries and medium sweet honey. Flavour is along the same lines, with fresh raspberries and pithy cherries. Heavy sweetness without being cloying. Complex and warming. Excellent.

Gorgeous color, dark blue with red. Aroma was nice, faint tree bark dominated by currant. Taste is a different story. thin, not a ton of flavor but it has a nice tart finish.
