Reviewed from notes.
Growler share with Henry.
My portion was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a black color with a small off white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Slight messy lace.
The aroma had some milk chocolate/cocoa powder, roasted coffee beans, sweet oats, subtle wood, light cereal/grain sweetness with a touch of earthiness.
The flavor seemed to blend fairly nice between the roast and the sweet and bringing in the earthy portions in a semi-bitter sort of way for extra balance. Light roasty aftertaste and finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Solid smoothness along my tongue.
Overall, pretty good oatmeal stout well worthy of having again. Hope they bring this back next Winter or Autumn.

Growler from the brewery. Pours black, a little oily, with a small, khaki foam head.the nose has hearty coffee roast, cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with some milk chocolate, moderate burnt earth bitterness, creamy chocolate, some ripening berries, more coffee. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with more milky coffee and chocolate character, moderate roasty bitterness. Sweet but not too sweet. Solid overall. Drinks easily.

Translucent brown. Light head. Smells like a tootsie roll and cocoa. Light body, a little root beer flavor with unsweetened chocolate flavor. Finish is woody, spicy, sweet, candy like but not overly sweet. Closer to an English porter than a stout. N
