As the Kernville temps dip our spicy rye Winter Ale warms up the taps. It gets its kick from rye but has plenty of hops to balance out the malt.

Dark yellow colour with thin lacy head. Nice mix of pine, pithy citrus and a solid background malt body.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of ripe tropical and stone fruit, citrus, flowers and biscuit. Pours cloudy amber color with medium sized creamy yellowish head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy ripe tropical fruity and resinous, following is herbal and medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth and leading to dry and bitter finish. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Winter warmer…

Can from Beer Republic. It pours lightly amber with an orangey hue with a thick , fluffy yellowy white head. The aroma is sweet, sappy, oily, orange marmalade, mango, orange squash, sherbet, grapefruit and bready. The taste is dry, bitter, sappy, pine needles, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, pomelo, bitter orange, campari, orange marmalade sandwiches, gummy bears, touch floral, peppery spice, hearty malt base and just a dull touch of alcohol with a drying, zesty finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Tbh considering this isn't fresh it's rather tasty nonetheless. Big fruity vibes and hit of bitterness. Very drinkable.

Pour is a murky orange. Aroma is fresh cut citrus and pineapple. Flavor is a little heavy on the caramel malt but the hops do break through with some citrus and bitterness. Decent double old school IPA.

Citrus, some pine and booze. Pours orange with good head and lacing. Tangerine and some pineapple. Sharp burning hops like stepping on the campfire. Bottle thanks to Bytemisis.

Bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop, San Diego. Hazy orange with a white head. Fresh and hoppy with pineapple, toffee, light malt and some mango. Rather sweet and with a bitter finish. A tasty one.

Tap at Harry’s in Redwood City. Massive tropical aroma. Slighly hazy tinged yellow with solid white head that slowly fades. Flavor doesn’t quite live up to the robustness of the aroma, but a very solid beer.
